Driscoll Statement on Coronavirus (COVID-19)
BOSTON, MAR.11 - In light of Governor Charlie Baker declaring a state of emergency due to concerns about the coronavirus (COVID-19), the House of Representatives has informed Members and staff that all public events will be cancelled for the foreseeable future.
If you planned to visit my State House office as part of a scheduled meeting or as part of a public event such as an advocacy day on the hill, I invite you to meet remotely or to reschedule the meeting for a later date.
Despite the schedule changes and should a building closure occur at any point, my office will remain operational in a remote capacity. To reach me & my legislative aide, please email us at William.Driscoll@mahouse.gov & Summer.Ordaz@mahouse.gov, or call (617) 722-2460.
We can all take preventative measures to help protect ourselves by washing our hands often with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds, covering our coughs and sneezes, and staying home when sick.
