Driscoll Joins in Honoring Korean War Vets

Last Tuesday, July 25th, Representative Bill Driscoll Jr (D-Milton) joined the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Boston, Kim Jae-Hui and other local officials from Milton in honoring several Korean War Veterans.

The Consulate General awarded the Korean Ambassador for Peace Medal to two individuals. This recognition is made to American servicemembers who served in the Korean War as a thank you from the Korean government. One of the recipients of this award, Mr. Stanley Bower, U.S. Army, was the only living Veteran present at this event, making this an extra-special recognition.

Several other veterans who served during the Korean War, but not in Korea, were also recognized.

The event was attended by many Fuller Village residents, with friends and family eager to recognize each of the honorees. Although we can never fully repay them, these efforts show our appreciation & recognition of their service to both the U.S. and Korea.
