Mattapan Line Closure

The MBTA is closing the Mattapan Line for 16 days, from Saturday, October 14th to Sunday, October 29th for track work. This closure will impact trolley and redline services to and from Milton, as well as for surrounding communities.

During the closure, over 2000 feet of track will be replaced, along with other crucial updates along the entire Mattapan Line. Additionally, upgrades to lighting will be made and deep cleaning will be conducted at all stations. Free shuttle bus service will be provided between all Mattapan Line stops and JFK/UMass throughout the duration, with buses operating at least every 5 minutes.

A hotline will be made available for the public to report noise and other construction-related issues.
